Privacy Policy

• Contact details: name, email, and phone number of the person buying or holding the certificate.
• Insured-person details, for each traveller covered: full name, passport number, nationality, and date of birth. These are required to issue and administer your Takaful certificate.
• Payment: when you pay by card, your card details are entered directly into Bank of Maldives' secure gateway. We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, or expiry. We receive only a payment reference and confirmation.
• Usage data: IP address, browser and device type, and how you interact with the site (pages visited, session activity).

• To issue, deliver, and administer your Takaful certificate.
• To process payments and confirm your order.
• To contact you about your certificate, claims, or support requests.
• To analyse usage and improve our website and services.
• To prevent fraud, ensure security, and meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We share your information only as needed to provide the service:

• With Amana Takaful Maldives Plc, the underwriter of your cover, to issue, administer, and settle claims on your certificate.
• With Bank of Maldives, to process card payments.
• With trusted service providers (e.g. secure cloud hosting and email delivery) for operational purposes.
• Where required by law or in response to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell your personal information.

Card payments are processed by Bank of Maldives through its secure, PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway. Card details are transmitted over an encrypted (TLS) connection directly to the bank and are never stored on Seguro's systems. We restrict access to personal data to authorised staff and protect it with encryption, access controls, and secure hosting.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your progress through checkout, and understand traffic and usage. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing. To exercise these rights, contact us at inboundtravel@seguroinsurance.net. Some records must be retained to meet insurance and legal obligations.

We keep policy and transaction records for as long as required by law and insurance regulation, after which we securely delete or anonymise them.

The purchaser must be 18 or older. Where an insured traveller is a minor, their details are provided to us by the purchasing adult.

Seguro and Amana Takaful Maldives Plc reserve the right to amend this Policy from time to time to comply with legal, regulatory or operational requirements. Any amendments shall apply prospectively and will be published on Seguro's website.
